We Saw It Banana Republic New Eco Line As blogged by our friends at The Budget Fashionista , Banana Republic has just launched a new Eco friendly line of items at its factory stores. The Fashion Perpetrator has been to a local store in the Miami area to check it. There are very few items at this time, all made with organic cotton. Besides for the tanks you see on the picture above, there were a simple shirt dress, t shirts and men shirts. That is basically it. There were displayed at the entrance of the store but to find them along with he regular merchandise was tricky: there were not separated and had only a sign showing the elephant logo to indicate which pieces were from the new line.

Also, the eco t shirts were selling for about $25, way above the $8-$10 regular t shirts on sale. Please don’t get be wrong, I am as eco-conscious as the next fashionista but you had to shell out some (significantly) more dough in order to be green. Yea, I would say that Wal Mart has won this one.
